I don't think you have any recourse. Because it was under the previous owners and a set fee. Unless your contract transferred to the new owners, which it might have. I'm no expert. I'd google it and see if you can find a legal forum to get some advice, but be prepared for disclaimers.
I discovered I was wrong today about the language issue after googling a legal forum on the topic. That a Russian language contract or foreign language contract does hold up in court.
The problem you have - is you paid the old owners, and the content that governed is pre-existing the Russian ownership. They basically inherited you. Add to that, you aren't benefiting them any. They probably want to get rid of you.
It's possible you have rights under a grand-father clause or something. But I don't know Russian Law and not sure what it says about this sort of thing or what the code states.
So, see if you can find a legal expert who does know. Google is a good place to start. That's what I did today, I googled things to get more information.
Also talked to a guy at work who is a)Russian, and b) lj user -- although rarely uses his account. He said not to worry about the agreement, unless you are Russian it won't be an issue, and it mainly is a result of a lot of lawsuits they've been fighting in Russia.
They don't really care that much about us. They care about their Russian users.
